Obituary for Patricia A. Lanza

Patricia Lanza of Eastchester, passed away on Thursday, April 3rd of pancreatic cancer.
She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and later moved to San Francisco where she met her husband, the late Frank C. Lanza. Frank was Chief Executive of L3 and died in 2006.
Pat Lanza distinguished herself as a humanitarian and philanthropist around the world and to a great extent here in Westchester County. She was a generous and kind spirit who cared deeply about children, the hungry, the homeless, veterans, and access to education. She stayed under the radar and when asked to speak at events famously answered, “I don’t make speeches, I write checks.”
She was survived by her three sons James, Louie, and Anthony, and five grandsons.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 14th at 10:30 am at The White Plains Performing Arts Center at 11 City Place in White Plains. www.wppac.com
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be made to El Centro Hispano, Wheelchair Charities, US Fund for UNICEF, or Habitat for Humanity.
