Obituary for Pietro Bruno
Pietro Bruno of Pleasantville, New York passed away on April 15, 2014 at the age of 81. He was born on July 22, 1932 to the late Antonio and Rosa (nee D’Ambrosio) Bruno of Adelfia, Canneto, Bari, Italy.
Pietro is survived by his devoted wife, Maria (nee Rogondino) and by his two loving daughters, Rosanna Laricchia and Franca Bruno Rizzi of Thornwood, New York, their husbands Anthony Laricchia and Anthony Rizzi, and his cherished grandchildren, Brianna Maria, Anthony Vincent, Cristopher Dominic, and Alexander Pietro.
Pietro is also survived by his loving sisters, Lucia and Angela, and brother Mario, mother-in-law Francesca Rogondino, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Fedele.
Pietro was very proud of his Italian heritage and enjoyed working in the restaurant industry as a salesman. He loved life to the fullest and above all, he loved his family especially his grandchildren who gave him great joy. He was a devoted husband, a wonderful father and grandfather.
A celebration of the life of Pietro Bruno will take place on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 2 pm - 4 pm and 7 pm - 9 pm, followed by a mass on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 10 am at Holy Innocents Church. Pietro will be laid to rest at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, New York.
