Obituary for Mary B. Phillips (Bryan)

Mary Barbara (Bryan) Phillips, a long-time resident of Chappaqua - Mt. Kisco, passed away on April 21st, 2014 after a courageous battle with kidney disease. Mary, beloved wife of Harry S. (Hal) Phillips, was born March 1, 1929 in Aurora, Illinois. Mary and Hal were married in 1954.
Mary was a patron of the arts and a featured local photographer, with her works being shown at various arts functions. She also had an avid interest in astronomy. She was, for a time, a real estate agent/proprietor in Bedford Village, N.Y.
Mary was a graduate of St. Mary’s (Notre Dame) College and the University of Wisconsin (’51). She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, and for 50 years, the Whippoorwill Club in Armonk.
Surviving Mary are her husband, Hal, her daughters, Dr. Katharine, Barbara, Carol and her husband, Ed Ewin; her son, William; her sister Jo Ann MacDonald of Madison, Wisconsin, and many nieces and nephews.
All funeral arrangements are private, with burial to be held in Aurora, Illinois.
