Obituary for Rosanne DeMicco

Rosanne DeMicco was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 30,1950. It was the beginning of a new decade and of the life a a wonderful new member of the human family. She grew up in Howard Beach, Queens with her parents, Andrew and Angelina Mastrangelo, and two brothers and a sister. Graduated from Our Lady of Grace Elementry School, she went on to attend high school at Wisdom Academy. She studied elementary education and graduated from Queens College. She began her career as an educator spending summers at the shore where she met and married Stephen DeMicco, the love of her life. She lived for a time in Yonkers and Hawthorne and finally settled in Pleasantville. She was a beloved teacher in the school district and ultimately specialized in helping young students with special reading needs. She received a Masters Degree in Education and the highest teaching certifications. A member of St John and St Mary Church in Chappaqua, she volunteered in various parish activities and brought her talent and teaching skills to the Religious Education program. Recently retired she enjoyed travel, spending time with her neices and nephews, playing Mahjong, gardening and most of all was devoted to helping others. Friends and family will miss her dearly.
