Maria Donato died on January 30 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla NY She was born on August 19 1920 in Marcellinara, Calabria Italy.
After being raised in Italy, Maria met and married Luigi Donato, then moved with 2 of her 3 sons to Pleasantville NY
Maria worked at Aunt Millie's sauce factory for many years before retiring. She loved to cook, garden, play the harmonica and spend time w her family.
Maria is survived by her three sons Saverio (Italia) of Milan Italy Joseph (Caterina ) of Thornwood, and Frank (Judy ) of Pleasantville. She is also survived by her grandchildren Lionello Donato and Lorretta Mollica of Italy Maria Grasso, Miguele Donato, Lynn Murray Michael Donato and Kristina Brennan and her cherished great grandchildren Sophia & Greta Donato, Daphne & Stella Mollica Madison & William Murray, Kyle & Haley Donato & Lila & Declan Brennan, also survived by her brother Alfred Torchia and sisters Angela Cottini & Lydia Marcella predeceased by sister Giovanna, and brothers Anthony Victor and Salvatore Torchia. A special thank you to Liz Torchia Luongo who had a special bond with our mother, we will always be grateful for your love.
Visitation Tuesday 5-9PM at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasantville, NY. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 10AM, Holy Innocents Church, Pleasantville, NY. Burial following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, White Plains, NY
