Sylvia M. Cawley (Schroeder)
Sylvia Cawley of Valhalla, NY died March 5, 2015. She was 92. Mrs. Cawley was born in New York City, December 9, 1922 the daughter of George F. and Sylvia (Rohm) Schroeder. On December 18, 1943 she married Thomas Cawley at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in New York City. He predeceased her in 1974. Mrs. Cawlay was active in the community, and was a member of Mount Pleasant Senior Citizens, Past President of Valhalla Woman’s Club, Past President of Valhalla Fire Company #1 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Pleasantville.
She is survived by many cousins. Her son Robert G. Cawley died in 1996.
Visitation will be Sunday 3-7pm at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home, Pleasantville, NY where her funeral service will be held at 6:30pm Sunday. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers donations to Valhalla Ambulance Corps, P.O. Box 14, Valhalla, NY of Emanuel Lutheran Church, 197 Manville Rd., Pleasantville, NY 10570 would be appreciated.
