Condolence: I was a very mediocre swimmer with Olympic aspirations...Lenny allowed me to train as if he believed I could make it too. I was at Gotham A C 1980-1984 in a post college "last chance" effort while working on Wall Street. Lenny was a good man who went far out of his way to help me...4am car pool in the Village to go out on Long Island to train meters. It is hard to believe he is gone. He will always be remembered. God bless you, Lenny !!

Condolence: Lenny Galluzzi was a great man, a great coach, and a good friend to so many. He always took an interest in me- whether it was a swimmer for Gotham back in the '70's, or as a coach, most recently at West Point. He always made me feel like I was "one of his guys" and I was very proud to call him a friend. So many great stories and memories... RIP.

Condolence: Len was my swim coach many, many years ago. He taught me a great deal about how hard work can help you to achieve personal success. I have such fond memories of his encouragement and friendship. I send my deepest sympathy to the entire Galluzzi family.

Condolence: Dear Don, Marge, family & all of Lenny's friends:
We will miss Len and his zest for life. There was never a dull moment, be it as a swim teammate, lifeguard, coach, or friend. His larger than life presence, and his never give in outlook taught me that there is no such thing as a bad hair day for the rest of us. His legacy will go on for generations through the students he taught and the swimmers he coached. We are better for having known him.
