Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Sullivan can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for John Arthur "Jay" Sullivan

The family of John Arthur Sullivan (Jay), 80, mourns his passing on July 3, 2015. His journey took him from Fall River, MA to Pleasantville, NY, Alexandria, VA and Avon CT. His devotion to his family, strength and humor inspired his six children and 24 grandchildren. He was married to Lorraine (nee Calamari) of the Bronx, NY (who predeceased him on 5/8/10) for 50 years and Susan T. Boynton for the last three years. He will be deeply missed by his children Lorraine (Laurie) Sullivan of Ossining, NY, Jay and Mary Sullivan of Pleasantville, NY, Louise and Joe Paolicelli of Pound Ridge, NY, Andrea and Paul St. Amour of Havertown, PA, Dolores and Charles Mihaliak of Avon, CT, DeWitt and Chris Sullivan of Pleasantville, NY and the grandchildren. Visitation at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home, Inc, 418 Bedford Road, Pleasantville, NY, Friday, July 10, 2-4 pm and 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 10 AM ,Holy Innocents Church, Pleasantville, NY. Burial Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
