Lidia Marcella, nee Torchia, died on August 4th 2015 She was born on June 24 1925 in Marcellinara, Calabria Italy. Raised in Italy and moved to Hawthorne NY in May of 1947 and then moved to Pleasantville where she was a longtime resident. Lidia was kind, generous and a gentle woman who loved her Children and Grandchildren. She lived a simple life and was loved by many. Lidia is survived by her five children Connie Belotti
(John), Frank Marcella, James Marcella ( Karen ), Rose Randone (Chris ) and Linda Jackson (Mark). She is also survived by her grandchildren Frank, Nick, Jimmy, Nick, Danny, Matthew, Christian, Michael, Nicole and Mark. And Great Grandchild Nicholas. Lidia is also survived by her brother Alfred Torchia and her sister Angela Cottini and predeceased by her sisters Giovanna, Maria, and brothers Anthony, Victor and Salvatore Torchia. The family will receive friends at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home 418 Bedford Road in Pleasantville on Thursday from 5 – 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Innocents R.C. Church on Friday at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
