Obituary for Sarah Cristello (Borelli)

Sarah Cristello, age 96, passed away peacefully on Tuesday night, November 24, 2015. She was a life long resident of Pleasantville, NY, where she was born on July 28, 1919 to the late Louis and Caroline Borelli. She married the late Dominick Cristello on September 6, 1936. He preceded her in death on February 7, 1970. They were married for 34 blissful years.
Sarah was a long time employee of Reader’s Digest. She was also a lifetime member of Holy Innocence Church. She was an avid knitter and crocheter. She always enjoyed the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Borelli, and sister-in-law, Margaret Borelli. She is survived by her daughter Donna Cristello Mandeville and her son and daughter-in-law Louis and Mary Ann Cristello. She is survived by 4 grandchildren, Dominick Mandeville and his wife Carola, Mary Ann Martinez, Louise Jacob and her husband John, Ann Mack and her husband Ed. She is also survived by her 6 great-grandchildren, Caroline and Dominick, Tyler and Torri, Autumn and Amber, and Samantha and Nicole.
Services: The wake will be held at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home at 418 Bedford Road Pleasantville, NY 10570 on Sunday November 29th from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday November 30th at 10 a.m. celebrating her life at Holy Innocence Church in Pleasantville. She will be laid to rest in the family plot at All Souls Cemetery.
