Obituary for Andrew F. Suozzi

Andrew F. Suozzi passed away peacefully at the age of 73 on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at his home in Chappaqua, NY after a valiant fight with cancer. He was born to Andrew A. and Ida Suozzi in NYC on August 6, 1943. Mr. Suozzi is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rosemarie Reina Suozzi as well as his 3 children, Paul(Nancy Harding) Suozzi, Peter(Colleen McKenna) Suozzi, Michelle Suozzi Verzello(Michael) as well as grandchildren Samantha Suozzi, Blaise Suozzi of Poughkeepsie, NY, Caroline Suozzi, Joseph Suozzi, Charlotte Suozzi of Ridgefield Ct. and, Alyssa Verzello and Michael Verzello of Armonk, NY. He also leaves behind his sisters Arline Lombardi of Jackson, NJ, Barbara Tobey of Croton on Hudson, NY as well his brothers Anthony Suozzi of Pleasantville, NY and Michael (Mary McTeague) Suozzi of St. James City, FLA.

After graduating from Westchester Community College in 1963 with an AAS degree in construction technology, Andrew started his own business building homes in Westchester County as well developing single family subdivisions. He moved on to building small commercial buildings and managed them until his recent retirement. Andrew was an avid golfer, loved to travel the world and was dedicated to his family, children and grandchildren as well as his many, many friends.

Visitation hours will be at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home, Inc, Pleasantville, NY Sunday, November13 from 4pm-8pm. Mass of Christian burial at Holy Innocents Church, Pleasantville at 10am Monday, November 14. Internment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla. In lieu of flowers the family encourages donations to the American Cancer Society to help fight this evil disease.
