Obituary for John P. Smith
John P Smith, passed away on September 5 originally from NYC and currently a Pearl River resident for 41 years. John was a loving husband to Theresa (Lynch) Smith for 62 years. He was a beloved father to Colleen, Maureen, Kathleen, Eileen and Thomas and devoted Pop of 9 grandchildren. John was a US Navy Veteran during WWII. He is a Retired NYPD Detective of 26 years. The family will receive friends on Friday September 8th from 2 - 4 & 7 – 9 PM at the Wyman – Fisher Funeral Home in Pearl River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Margaret of Antioch R.C. Church on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at F.W. Loescher Veterans Cemetery in New Hempstead. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Widows and Children's Fund. (Law Enforcement)
