Obituary for Judith H. Ismail
Judith Houghton-Ismail of Ossining, NY passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on September 6, 2017 at the age of 74. She was born on May 30, 1943 the daughter of the late Leroy and Nancy Houghton.
Judy graduated from Scarsdale High School in 1962 where she played many sports. She was a baby technician at Phelps Memorial Hospital for 40 years and continued to take care of children until her last days. After retiring she did private duty nursing and cared for her mother for many years on the Cape. She was also a distinguished rifleman.
She is survived by her children Tania (Stanley) Drezek of Buchanan, NY, Keith (Kris) Ismail of Rochester, MI and Darius (Heather) Ismail of Burnt Hills, NY, brothers Norman “Billy” (Diana) and Warren Houghton and sister Beth (Jack) Grega and 8 loving grandchildren that she adored. She was predeceased by her brother Leroy “Houghtie”.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Judy’s memory to Rosary Hill Home, 600 Linda Avenue, Hawthorne, New York 10532.
Cremation services were held privately.
