Jack Karl  Berk
Jack K. Berk of Chappaqua N.Y. passed away on Monday, July 9th. He was 98. Jack and his wife Nancy Kuh Berk were married for 66 years. Jack graduated from Stuyvesant High School and earned a degree from St. John's University. He served in the Army during World War II and was stationed in Japan. Jack had a suceessful business career in Sales and Marketing selling floor covering and roofing materials. He was active in many organizations and served as president of several organizations including the Long Island Floor Covering Club, Bn'ai Brith, the Old Farm Lake Condo Assoc., and the New Castle Seniors. Jack was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, the Hopes Door Shelter, and the American Legion with Montrose Veterans. He was also a member of the Moses Taylor American Legion and the Scarsdale Elks.
Jack enjoyed travelling, dancing, and especially spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by their children Carolyn (and Brian) Richardson and Robert (and Jennifer) Berk, grandchildren Leslie (and Adam) Lynch, Laurissa Berk, Andrew Richardson, and Adam Berk, and his great-grandaughter Molly Lynch.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, July 11th at 1:30 in the afternoon at the Beecher Flooks Funeral Home at 418 Bedford Rd, Pleasantville, NY 10570. See www.beecherflooksfh.com
