Vassallo, Joan (nee Krasinski)

Joan Carol Vassallo of Pleasantville, NY, formerly of the Bronx passed away on September 20th, 2018 at the age of 83 after a brief hospitalization.
Joan was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY to Stella and Charles Krasinski and worked for many years as a secretary in the NYC school system. In addition to her parents Joan was predeceased by her loving husband Florindo (Tom) and two brothers, Charles and Francis Krasinski.
Joan was a very busy grandmother who was active at the Pleasantville Clinton Street Senior Center. She was an avid reader, a skilled knitter, a bingo player, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Joan is survived by her children, Thomas Vassallo (Annemarie McAllister), Susan Cecchetelli (Jerry), and Diane Suchanek (Mark), her sisters Ginger Bree (Charles), Marie Henning and her sisters- in-law Joan and Lorraine Krasinski.
Joan was very proud of all that her children accomplished and was the best grandmother to her seven grandchildren Dan, Julie, Chris, Alyssa, Matt, Jackie, and Will, her two granddaughters-in-law Jenna and Lauren and her grandson-in-law, Mike. She was thrilled this past year to meet the newest member of the family, a great grandaughter Emmersyn Anne.
Visiting hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasantville, NY , where funeral services will be held Saturday 10:30 AM. Burial following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY
