The Beecher Flooks Funeral Home Inc., in Pleasantville, N.Y., is personally owned and supervised by William F. Flooks, Jr. Bill is a second generation Funeral Director who has been licensed by the State of New York for 45 years. He grew up in the funeral industry with his father who was a N.Y.S. licensed Funeral Director for 38 years, until his passing in 1988, and Bill was able to learn many valuable aspects of life and funeral service from him
Bill purchased Beecher Funeral Home Inc., in February 2004 and became only the third owner of this business started by Sam Beecher in 1928. A 1973 graduate of St. Nicholas of Tolentine HIgh School, in the Bronx, he then received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from LaSalle College in 1977, and a Degree in Mortuary Science from the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in New York City. In 1994 Bill was appointed Adjunct Professor of Embalming at A.A.M.I, and in 2001 he became the Director of Clinical Embalming.
Bill continues to remain personally active in the Pleasantville community as a member of the Pleasantville Lions Club, is also currently the President of the Pleasantville Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Development Advisory Board as well as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Hospice of Westchester.
Bill currently resides in White Plains with his wife Debbie.
