Condolences

Condolence From: Susan Grondine-Dauwer
Condolence: I had the privilege of working with Jim on a number of cases over the years. He was a great lawyer, patient teacher, and generous man. He enjoyed discussing law and strategy but loved talking about his family even more. He will be missed in the industry. My condolences to Marilyn, Ellen and his entire family.

Condolence From: Ron Wobbeking
Condolence: I had the pleasure of serving as an arbitrator on three arbitrations when Jim represented one of the parties. He was very professional as well as very effective and a great sense of humor. I and all of us will miss him. My condolences.

Condolence: Jim made me laugh like no one else. I will miss him very much. I was lucky to have lunch with him many times in practice and in his retirement and am very glad I did so.

Condolence From: Tom Allen
Condolence: I only knew Jim as opposing counsel, in quite a few cases. We all remember that he could be grumpy. But when push came to shove, it would always turn out that Jim was honest and gracious. A good lawyer and a good person.

Condolence: From all of us at Squire Patton Boggs (formerly Werner & Kennedy and LeBoeuf) who knew Jim well, we send our deepest condolences to Jim's family and colleagues. Jim has a great lawyer, a formidable adversary and a great intellect. He will be missed by all of us in the insurance and reinsurance disputes community.

Condolence From: Nick & Nancy Pearson
Condolence: We are very saddened to learn of Jim's passing. Jim was a wonderful colleague and friend who blazed his own path and was refreshingly more about authenticity then "blending in." His devotion to Marilyn and Ellen, his discerning intellect and his wry sense of humour were some of his most memorable qualities. I feel truly fortunate to have had the chance to work with him. May his memory be a blessing.
