Veronica B. Hurley 87, of Valhalla passed away November 23, 2017. Born to Peter & Mary Weissmann on March 19, 1930 in Callicoon, NY, she relocated to Valhalla as a NY Telephone operator and married Wilfred V. Hurley in 1953. Veronica is survived by her four children - Kathleen Hurley, Michael (Christine), Theresa Griffin (Daniel), Patricia Sacchi (Robert), 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and her siblings Lewis Weissmann & Ruth Desimone. Her husband Wilfred, 3 sisters and 1 brother predeceased her.

Veronica graduated from Pace University while employed by Charles Stotz, Inc. Very active in the community her volunteerism included Valhalla Ambulance Corps, Valhalla Chamber of Commerce and American Legion Auxiliary 1038.

She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church where she served as RE Director and Eucharistic Minister. The family will receive friends at the Beecher Flooks Funeral Home in Pleasantville today from 4 – 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Name of Jesus R.C. Church in Valhalla on Monday at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Kensico Cemetery.
