Obituary for Constance Elaine Kohring

Constance Elaine Kohring daughter of the late Pearl and William Sproul, sister to the late William Sproul, was born in Port Chester New York. In 1943 she graduated from nursing school from the Westchester School of nursing at Grasslands as a registered nurse. In 1948 she married the late William Henry Kohring III and is survived by two children Douglas and Pamela and daughter in law Anna. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawthorne, NY. In 1945 she worked with the Red Cross and polo patients in Denver CO. She also worked as a RN at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville where she met the love of her life William H. Kohring III. She lived most of her life in Valhalla NY where she lived with her husband and adopted children Douglas and Pamela. She also worked as a RN at Blythedale Children’s Hospital as a pediatric nurse. She volunteered at Westchester Medical Center for twenty-eight years and ran a blood pressure screening program, worked in the gift shop and was on the auxiliary board of volunteers.
