Rose Marie (Carolei) Bellantoni

Armonk (formerly of Larchmont) - On the first day of Autumn, September 23, 2018, the heavens opened up for Rosie. Throughout her long illness, not a day went by that her husband Mike, of 57 years, wasn’t affectionately by her side. A true love story for the ages! Rosie remains in the hearts of her son Tony (Michele) of White Plains, and her daughters Tracy Marraccini of Chappaqua and Amy (Tim) Iwanowicz of New Hampshire. Rosie’s six grandchildren Tony, Olivia, Henry, Sophia, Evening and Julia share Rosie’s enthusiasm for life, music, arts and education as well as her love for adventure and travel.

Rosie’s diverse interests and energy put her on the path of many different careers. After graduating from Syracuse University with a B.S. in Nursing, Rosie went on to become the Director of Inservice Education at Greenwich Hospital. Rosie also pursued a degree from the New York School of Interior Design, and went on to start her own successful interior design company. In addition, she was a beloved ESL teacher with the White Plains School District for many years. In her teaching and in life, Rosie’s passion and commitment were unbounded.

Rosie’s vivacious spirit was infectious and felt by all who were graced by her presence. Her home and heart were always open. She elevated others by making them feel capable of achieving their dreams, and was always there to lend an ear. She applied this gift unselfishly throughout her life, and her spirit of giving even continues today as she donated her organs to Columbia University Medical Center to benefit future research for aspiring scientists. Always up for adventure, Rosie loved singing, dancing, horseback riding, travel, golf and tennis. #livelikerosie #whatdidntshedo #heavenlyrosie
