Kathryn Gale, longtime resident of Pleasantville, NY, died on October 16, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born on March 21, 1933 in Bronx, NY to Silvio and Catherine (Finn) D’Urso. Kathryn is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Ted, sons Michael (Lisa) Martell, Bob (Deanna) Martell, 5 adored grandchildren and two beautiful great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Joan Long. Kathryn is predeceased by two sisters Mary Kaplan and Theresa Hughes.
Kathryn worked for the Village of Pleasantville for many years, starting in the accounting department in 1965 and was the Village Treasurer and Acting Village Administrator until her retirement in 1992.
Kathryn loved being surrounded by friends and family. The time she spent with family, extended family and friends was what she lived for.
Family and friends are invited to the Beecher Flooks Funeral Home on Friday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 PM for visitation. A mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10AM at Holy Innocents Church in Pleasantville. An interment will immediately follow Mass at All Souls Cemetery in Pleasantville.
