Obituary for Gregory Henry Wright

Gregory Henry Wright passed away unexpectedly on November 6th, 2018. He was born on December 14, 1956 to Harold and Anna Marie (Gaffney) Wright. He attended Scarsdale high school and graduated from Valhalla High School. He was the bass guitarist and lead singer of Piper's Riot from 1973 to 1983. He married Roberta Hackett in 1988. Together they had three children and enjoyed thirty years of marriage. He was a Principal of Wright Brother's Transport (Kitty Hawk and Express) for over 30 years. Greg was an artist, musician, craftsman, and avid learner all of his life. He was a man of great faith and generosity. His heart was oceanic in magnitude and he was beloved by everyone who knew him. A devoted Husband and Father, Brother, and Son. He is survived by his wife Roberta and their children Kristin, Gregory, and Kathleen. As well as his brothers Steve (Maribel), Michael, and Dave (Lorraine), his sister Marie (Vincent), sister in-law Judy Wright, Father and Mother in-law Arthur and Edith Hackett, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. He loved and respected everyone he worked with at Wright Brothers and considered them family. He joins his brothers and sisters, Harold,
Elizabeth, Joseph, Priscilla and Mark in Heaven.
Family will receive friends for a Memorial Visitation Friday from 7 – 9 PM at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday at 10AM at Holy Innocents R.C. Church in Pleasantville. An interment will immediately follow mass at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
