Obituary for Alan B. Lindsay
Alan Burton Lindsay of Pleasantville, NY passed from this life December 12, 2018, at the age of 91.
He was the younger son of the late William R. and Mabel (Geisler) Lindsay of Armonk, NY and brother of the late William R. Lindsay, Jr. of Valhalla, NY.
He married Patricia Hughes in 1958. She entered into God’s greater life in 2000.
Mr. Lindsay graduated from Pleasantville High School and New Paltz State Teachers College and taught fifth-grade general studies and sixth-grade science classes over 33 years with the Chappaqua School system.
He was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Pleasantville.
He is survived by son Scott Alan Lindsay and wife Karen of Middletown, MD, daughter Susan Lindsay Mello and husband Gary of Cambridge, MA, and four grandchildren.
He will be buried near his parents at St. Steven’s Episcopal Church Yard in Armonk.
