Mattias Juenger, a Somers resident, died on January 28, 2019. Born August 9, 1926 in Mastort, Yugoslavia, formerly a part of Austria, the son of Stefan and Katarina Juenger.
Matt played professional soccer throughout Europe with the Linzer Athletic Sports Club until immigrating to the United States in 1952.
He is survived by his wife Patricia, his grandson, Jesse (Dulcinea) Juenger of Fryon, NC and Stepson Mark (Anna) Vandling of Randolph, NJ. His son, Harold Juenger predeceased him.
At his request all funeral arrangements are private.
