Daniel Marrone of Pleasantville, New York, died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. Born August 21, 1949, Danny grew up in the Bronx and Bethpage, New York. Danny proudly served in the NYPD as a Police Officer and Detective for 25 years in the 48th Precinct and the Career Criminal Investigations Unit. After retiring from the NYPD, Danny founded Marrone Consultants, LLC., his own Private Investigations Company.
In recent years he worked part time as a Case Manager for Family Services of Westchester in the White Plains Guest Home for Adults, while continuing his side practice of Private Investigations.
Danny was predeceased by his daughter, Lisa, his parents, Mary and Daniel, his brother Dennis. Danny is survived by his loving wife, Ellen, his children Geanine (Ty), Daniel Jr., Michael, Briana and Thomas, grandchildren Maeve, Liam, Dante, and Mick, and many nieces and nephews.
Danny will be remembered for his warmth, selflessness, sense of humor, wisdom, and endless stories. He was a devoted father and husband who would do anything for his family. Danny could enter a room full of strangers and leave being friends with everyone. He has a long list of friends in New York, Florida, and Indiana. Danny had numerous hobbies and talents and never feared learning something new. Danny built the log cabin from the ground up, was an excellent handball player and won many Longest Drive contests. He spent many seasons coaching and attending sporting events, school plays and dance recitals. Danny was well known for his yearly Christmas Eve feast. Danny was passionate about spreading joy and happiness to all around him, often talking and bonding over a meal or cup of coffee.

Just have no words Danny! We were just with you and Ellen on Sunday, reminiscing about the days with the boys, baseball adventures, eating binges , all the fun and laughs, great times, family celebrations and now your not here.
We just can’t believe it. 😒
Our hearts are broken and you will forever be missed. πŸ’” RIP Danny πŸ™πŸ»

I'm Danny's cousin and because of some family dynamics I didn't really grow up with the Gallinas or the Marrones. So I was a little surprised that I got a call from Danny about four years ago, as he was working on a family tree and wanted to know about my mom's side of the family (she was French). After about five minutes on the phone with Danny, it was as if I had lived next door and we saw each other all of the time, that's how easy it was to talk with him. I only saw him once, in NYC, and we could never make our plans coordinate to meet again. I'm sorry we didn't. But in the short time I got to know him, I found him to be one of those unique human beings who it was an honor to know and an honor to be related to. God bless you, Danny, and keep you. If anyone deserves to go to Heaven, you sure do. Semper Fideles. Your cousin, Dave Gallina
