Obituary for Daniel C. Marrone

Daniel Marrone of Pleasantville, New York, died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. Born August 21, 1949, Danny grew up in the Bronx and Bethpage, New York. Danny proudly served in the NYPD as a Police Officer and Detective for 25 years in the 48th Precinct and the Career Criminal Investigations Unit. After retiring from the NYPD, Danny founded Marrone Consultants, LLC., his own Private Investigations Company.
In recent years he worked part time as a Case Manager for Family Services of Westchester in the White Plains Guest Home for Adults, while continuing his side practice of Private Investigations.
Danny was predeceased by his daughter, Lisa, his parents, Mary and Daniel, his brother Dennis. Danny is survived by his loving wife, Ellen, his children Geanine (Ty), Daniel Jr., Michael, Briana and Thomas, grandchildren Maeve, Liam, Dante, and Mick, and many nieces and nephews.
Danny will be remembered for his warmth, selflessness, sense of humor, wisdom, and endless stories. He was a devoted father and husband who would do anything for his family. Danny could enter a room full of strangers and leave being friends with everyone. He has a long list of friends in New York, Florida, and Indiana. Danny had numerous hobbies and talents and never feared learning something new. Danny built the log cabin from the ground up, was an excellent handball player and won many Longest Drive contests. He spent many seasons coaching and attending sporting events, school plays and dance recitals. Danny was well known for his yearly Christmas Eve feast. Danny was passionate about spreading joy and happiness to all around him, often talking and bonding over a meal or cup of coffee.
Family and friends are invited to Beecher Flooks Funeral Home in Pleasantville on Monday, May 13 from 2PM to 4PM and 7PM to 9PM.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 10 AM at Holy Innocents Church in Pleasantville.
An Internment at Gate of Heaven will follow.
