RICCIARDI, ROSE A. - Pleasantville, 93
Rose A. Ricciardi of Pleasantville passed away peacefully on Monday, May 20, at the age of 93. Rose was a resident for the past three years at The Grove in Valhalla. She was born in Olginasio, a small town in Lombardia, Italy, and came to the United States in 1930 at the age of 5, and lived with her parents, Giovanni Millo and Cesarina (Furiga) Millo in Jeanette, Pennsylvania until the death of her father when she was 17. At that point she and her mother moved to the Bronx. Rose was married to John Ricciardi for 65 years. They resided in the Bronx until 1977, when they moved to Pleasantville. John predeceased her in 2013. She is survived by her daughters, Carol McNiff (Jim) and Joan McGowan (Brian); five grandchildren, David McNiff (Jill), Jessica Lisy (Chris), Jennifer Antonaccio (Mike), Lauren Carberry (Dan) and Michelle Chiappa (Chris); and eleven great-grandchildren: Tyler and Nolan McNiff; Thomas, Katherine and Caroline Lisy; Nora and Ian Antonaccio; Margaret and Paige Carberry; and Audrey and Landon Chiappa. Waked at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home (914-769-0001), Pleasantville, NY, Wednesday, May 22, from 3:00 - 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass Thursday, May 23 at 10:00 AM, Holy Innocents Church, 431 Bedford Road, Pleasantville, NY. Interment at Ferncliff Cemetery Shrine of Memories, 280 Secor Road, Hartsdale, NY 10530. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Children’s Tumor Foundation, 120 Wall Street, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10005, in memory of Rose Ricciardi, would be most appreciated.
