My brother and I were greatly saddened to learn of the death of Barbara Curran. When we were growing up she was a great friend to us young people. I certainly want to note her great kindness to us when our father died many years ago. We'll not forget her creativity and enthusiasm. She was the kind of person who really was a neighbor, to whom "community" was more than an overused word.
