A compassionate Police Officer, helped all he came in contact with. A friend to all who worked in the 48 Pct. John’s sense of humor will be remembered by all.

John epitomized all the great qualities you would want to see in a police officer especially his compassion for his fellow man. He was a true Christian and he practiced his faith everyday by trying in any small way to make someone less fortunate a little bit happier. He was doing "community policing" long before it became the popular theme in the NYPD, and all of us who had the good fortune to work alongside of him was a better person for having done so. Heaven is a funnier place now with the addition of shield 1236, 48 Precinct. RIP
