Dear Family & Friends of Jean,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I only knew Jean through work at WMC. The first time I met her, she patiently, carefully, and sweetly removed glass from the palm of my hands after falling three winters ago. When she smiled with a warm hello to me and everyone else who walked through the door at Occupational Health at WMC. Jean always seemed full of life and joy. I join many in saying she will be missed terribly. We are all so much better for having met her, and having her example.
My deepest condolences,
Angela Skretta

We first met in 1990 when Jean was interviewing for a position as Nurse Practitioner in Employee Health at Westchester Medical Center (WMC). Almost immediately I realized that this was a knowledgeable, caring, compassionate women who would be a perfect match for the position. At the end of the interview I was extremely nervous thinking Jean may not take the position if offered to her. This story had a wonderful ending. Jean has been working at WMC for 29 years….until the “heavens” needed someone to make it a better place.

Jean was a kind, caring, respectful, considerate, knowledgeable, unbiased, loyal friend and colleague who will be missed by all those individuals who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Love you Jean. RIP. Till later. Barbara Luciano (AKA Sweetie (as was everyone else). xoxo

Jean was a sweet, smart, caring woman who always put others before herself. As a child of the 40’s and 50’s, she was the product of a generation of woman that increasingly few people will understand. She fought against the status quo to become a Nurse, and then a Nurse Practitioner, and she practiced for over 50 years. She was, in her own quiet and caring way, a trailblazer for all of the woman of this generation.
She held a special place in the hearts of everyone in the neighborhood, and she will be sorely missed.

Jean's kind, inquisitive and caring spirit will be missed. She always greeted everyone with a smile, and always remember sharing in a lovely conversation with her about our lives and the world around us. She gave so much of kindness to her friends, colleagues and our family. Much love to the Kadel Family and Friends.
