Obituary for Louis S. Csigay
Louis S. (Lou) Csigay, a longtime Pleasantville homeowner, died on August 19, 2019 at the age of 89.
Lou was born in Bridgeport, CT and was educated in Connecticut schools and colleges. He received graduate degrees from Columbia University.
He served in the combat engineers during the Korean War.
For over 30 years Lou worked for the NYC Board of Education in the Special Education and Counseling departments. He retired as a School Psychological Counselor. In his retirement, he mentored, tutored and was senior advisor to the Philosophical Society at Purchase College.
He is survived by three sons: Stefan of Riverside, RI; Aerin of Fort Montgomery, NY; Shon of Pleasantville, NY; and granddaughters Amanda of Providence, RI and Melissa of New Zealand.
Lou was predeceased by his wife Stephanie.
