Obituary for Lynne Smith (Polowitz)
Lynne Smith (1919-2014)
Lynne Smith passed away on May 31,2014. She was born in Bayonne, New Jersey to Fred Polowitz and Ann Kulhan. She was raised in Hastings and graduated Hastings High School.
Lynne was principal clerk for the Yonkers Public Library. She was editor for the Westchester Library Bulletin. After retiring she was assistant editor for the Gannett Newspaper.
She was predeceased by her husband William MacRae Smith. She is survived by her son William MacRae Smith of Middleburg, NY and her daughter Barbara (Bonnie) Abruzese of White Plains, NY. She had four grandchildren Billy, Michael, Eric, Kim and four great grandchildren Billy, Nicholas, Michael and Rocco.
Visiting Hours will be Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday 10am at Holy Innocents Church. Burial to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
