I met Patty many years ago. He was an amazing man ! I have NEVER met a harder more dedicated worker than Patty ! The work he did at Gedney Park in Millwood was and still is so beautiful. The stone walls he built by hisself will stand for many years to come. He worked so hard and so long. I remember Ben Shaw had to drive out to the park to make him quit and go home for the day. He would say "just a little bit more Ben ".
Patty was kind to everyone. I never saw him angry, upset or hear a bad word from his mouth. Always that BIG smile !!
We had so much fun playing softball for the Town team with us for years. He played ball with the same intensity he lived his life and work. He was so happy to play and laugh with all of us. he loved to share a few beers after the game too !!
Patty loved the Navy and his Country and proudly marched with us every Memorial Day. He was a true American hero in my book !
I will miss Patty very much. We should all be like Pattty and if we were we'd be shure of a nice place in heaven ! Rest in Peace my friend ! Bob Breen
