Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jean Macgillivray can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Jean C. Macgillivray (Carroll)



Jean C. MacGillivray of Chappaqua, NY died, at home, on December 28th. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt. She is survived by her husband and daughters David, Pamela and Cynthia MacGillivray all of Chappaqua, her nephew Geoff, his wife Christi and their children Matthew and Lauren Wallat of Perry, FL as well as her neices Rhiannon and Cassidy Cappannelli of Orange, CT, She was predeceased by her parents Edwin and Mildred Carroll, her sisters Joan Klein and Dr. Cynthia Wallat as well as her neice Suzanne Cappannelli.


Jean was a proud member of The Chappaqua Volunteer Ambulance Corps for many years, she retired from the Admissions Office at Westchester Community College in 1999. Prior to that she woked at Chappaqua Transportation and The County Trust Bank.


Visitation will be Friday, January 2nd 2015 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 at Beecher-Flooks Funeral Home Pleasantville, NY. Funeral Mass Saturday, January 3rd 2015 Saint John and Saint Mary Church Chappaqua, NY
