The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of William Walsh can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

An Excellent Manager

I did not go to school with Bill nor grew up nearby him, but he was a big part of my work career.  I was one of many IBMers transitioning from being an IBMer to now becoming a vendor for IBM and Bill was over that contract. That was back in 1992 and now there are only maybe a dozen of us still part of that contract.  Although the contract went through several different companies Bill always fought hard for us IBM crossovers to continue with our promised benefits. I had the opportunity to meet Bill in person when he would come visit the Dallas group my manager at the time, Ann Stewart (now retired), reported to him.  He was always upbeat and very sincere. I know that if it were not for him, I and many others would not have our current jobs and for that I am so grateful that he was part of my work career.

I truly believe that we never lose the people that made an impact to our lives, even through death.  They continue to participate in every act, thought, and decision we make.  Their accomplishes leaves a permanent imprint in our memories.  I find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared Bill's vision for our future.

My prayers and thoughts are with your family. May peace and comfort find you during this difficult time.

Lord, you have called home one whom you truly love, gone now from this earthly dwelling, leaving behind those who mourn.  Grant that as we grieve we may hold memory dear, living in hope of your eternal kingdom where you promise to bring us togehter again.   AMEN
