Thomas Andrew Fraser died peacefully, surrounded by his family on November 14, 2015. He was the only child of Margaret (Stevenson) and Thomas Fraser. He was born and raised in Riverdale, New York. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Enid (Bazel) Fraser, his children, Michele (Terry) Geller, Suzanne Fisher, and Stuart (Elise) Fraser, grandchildren, Ryan, Kimberly, Katie, Kelly, Lauren, Thomas, Scott, Samantha and Tyler, great-grandchildren, Lyla, Cailin, Amitai, Charlotte, Blake, Mylo, Ya’ara, Thomas and Locklyn. He graduated from the School of Industrial Arts in NYC and attended Pratt Institute. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950-1953, in the Army of Occupation, 62nd AAA Division, 7th Army, in Europe. He met his loving wife, Enid, in 1953, and they married later that year. Tom and Enid were married for 62 years, always together and “in love”. Tom began his career in advertising on Madison Avenue, eventually moving to Indiana, then St. Louis, Missouri. He worked for various firms including Grey Advertising, Stuart and Gunn, Gardner, Mary Wells and his own firm, Fraser Design. Tom was an expert in package design and created such iconic works as the Brillo Box, Parliament Cigarettes, Jack Daniels Whisky, Korbel Champagne and many others. He received numerous Cleo and Leo Awards for advertising excellence throughout his career. Tom was a man who led by example, a great husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, a great friend, and a true gentleman. He will be irreplaceable in our lives and will be greatly missed.
