Obituary: Carol was born in New York City on December 17, 1931 and passed away November 1, 2010. She was the daughter of Albert and Caroline Graff and grew up in Pleasantville, New York. She attended Radcliffe College and worked at Time, Inc. in New York City. Carol, wife of Eugene Ulrich for 52 years, lived in Chappaqua, New York and moved to Somers, New York in 1995. They have 2 children, daughter Lisa Stout and son in law Christopher Stout of Darien, CT and son Greg Ulrich and daughter in law Elizabeth Ulrich of Greenwich, CT. Also, her sister Joan Kohout and brother in law John Kohout of Alexandria, Virginia and beloved grandmother to Emily and Charlie Stout. Carol was very active in Girl Scouts, Planned Parenthood, Garden Club and the First Congregational Church. She became a Real Estate broker in 1970, most recently with Prudential Holmes & Kennedy. She loved to travel and was an avid gardener and golfer. Her friendship, smile, humor and spirit of determination will be deeply missed.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 12, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the First Congregational Church in Chappaqua, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Helen Haviland Flower Fund at the First Congregational Church, 210 Orchard Ridge Road, Chappaqua NY or a charity of your choice in her memory.
