We lived across the street from Jack and Mary for over 10 years. We would watch over each others home whenever we were away for a trip. When Jack was looking to move across the street he had mentioned he was having a hard time getting a variance to build his home. I asked my wife (Avis) to show up at the town meeting the be an advocate for them. Days later Jack was at our door with a bottle of wine thanking us for helping him. It proved to be our luck of getting the best neighbors we could have asked for. With everything Jack had to deal with he was ALWAYS joking and being positive. He is one of the strongest people I know. Before we moved three months ago I saw Jack outside and went to say hi. We sat down on the curb because he was weak. We and talked for a while. He laughed telling me he planted the same trees in his front yard as ours because he wanted to "dress the neighborhood up". When he got up he looked at me and gave me a hug. After we moved Avis would call Mary to check in. GOD BLESS YOU JACK.
