The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Douglas Parrish can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

My brother-in-law, Dougie

Not just a story, a life...

He drove me crazy, yet was at my side every time I asked. Or didn't even have to ask.....

If times were bad Dougie knew to help me out becase he knew I needed it ....he was the 3rd brother in my life. I was the "2nd wife" in his life (poor man). Believe me there were times I knew he felt that way ...I was around him more than the rest of my family since I spend so much time with my sister and the girls. And Doug let me right in. Sleep overs, nights of tears for whatever happened that week, months without a job - Doug always gave me support. He was a best friend to me.

I'm shattered that he's gone. I find it unfair that he's left this world so soon. The world has lost one GREAT individual. I'm happy my nieces have his qualities because first, they are lucky and second he can live on through them. He loved his girls and was very proud of them - and they adored him.

And my sister - I never saw someone love anyone like he loved my sister. He looked at her with pure awe in his eyes. And she looked back just the same.

The model of a life "done good"  in every way - ended ridiculously too soon

I'll love and miss you forever, Dougie. Life'll never be the same without you.
