Jonathan S.  Levine
Jonathan Scott Levine (Jon) of Hawthorne NY, beloved husband, father, brother and son passed away on June 10, 2016 at age 53. Jonathan is survived by his loving wife of 15 years Immacolata Loffredo, his son David Alphonso Miller Levine, his brother Louis Levine and his wife Nancy Levine of Bridgeport Connecticut, his sister Cynthia Boersma-Levine of Monson Massachusetts and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. His parents Irwin and Doris Levine predeceased him.
While Jonathan’s life was shorter than we would all have liked he lived a rich life. Jon treasured his role as husband and father. He had a zest for life that was infectious. Everyone who knew him appreciated his warmth, kind heart and positivity. People often said that Jonathan had more really good friends than anyone else. Some friends went as far back as prior to elementary school. Jonathan was known for his courage and fighting spirit. He was committed to advocating for himself and others. For more than 6+ years Jonathan was on the Board of Directors for Connecticut Spina Bifida Association.
Jonathan worked for the Westchester County Department of Social Services-Child Welfare Authorization Unit.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Spina Bifida Association of America at www.sbaa.org or Surprise Lake Camp at www.surpriselake.org, please specify scholarships at the camp.
