Charles E Treadway III

I was shocked to hear the news of Jon's passing the day. I really thought he was going to make a great recovery from this period of being the hospital also. When I think of fond memories of my youth, I have to turn to the chapter of Jon. He had a great sense of humor considering what he had been through. His whole family did. I when he use to pick me up in the "Tank" his Father's Oldsmobile sedan. The first time Jon, Steve Weinreb and listened to Van Halen in his room! We sat there memorized for almost an hour. My first concert I saw with Jon. Even though he walked with crutches, walked Ten Feet Tall! You see Jon never let people think he could not do something. Now he was a jokester but once you met him he left an impression on you that you would never forget him. Jon and I lost contact up until a few years ago when I became I'll. We talked about life, our kids he was proud of his son and wife. We talked very little of our respective illnesses but he gave me the courage to fight on. I got better through a heart transplant three years ago. I was so hurt when I could not hear my friends voice anymore. But I will never forget his friendship and love of life. I miss you Jon. Your back with your Mom and Dad. God bless and RIP...til we meet again.....
